Construction/Sustainability (CESI) Student Mentoring Session – Wednesday, April 20th, 1230 – 1:20 p.m. in Mueller 153

Hello Students.

You will see these sessions advertised to seniors in preparation for their Fall Quarter 2022 registration, but I HIGHLY encourage sophomores and anyone else interested to attend. This message is about the session advertised as a “CESI Senior Mentor Session”.

WHAT: Faculty that teach/research construction, energy, and sustainable infrastructure (CESI) courses will talk and answer questions about their area of instruction for coursework, career advice, jobs, internships and more. Specifics:

  • What courses the CESI faculty teach and what they address
  • Other departmental courses you might be interested in if you like construction, energy, or sustainability
  • Internship and JOB advice and prospects in these areas (we know what students get internships/jobs where)

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • Rising seniors. Definitely. You have many elective courses to pick next year and you can also start thinking about jobs.

  • Rising juniors. For sure. Get the best information on the courses we teach. Start thinking seriously about a Summer 2023 internship.
  • Students seriously interested in construction and/or sustainability. Absolutely. See what the department has to offer in these areas.
  • Students with a mild interest in construction and/or sustainability. Sure. See what is possible to take in there areas.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 20th, 12:30 – 1:20 p.m.

WHERE: Mueller 153 (in the building that is underground and adjacent to More Hall) – it is an in-person session
