Dear CEE Community,
This week started and continues with the media full of news, discussion, and analysis of the horrific acts of racial violence that occurred over the weekend in Buffalo, NY. If you are Black, a member of another racial or ethnic group targeted by replacement theorists, or a member of an under-represented group in CEE, please know that YOU ARE VALUED MEMBERS OF THE CEE COMMUNITY. Know also that CEE is committed to, and taking action to achieve, a Just, Equitable, Diverse and Inclusive community. This most recent event is a reminder of how important our JEDI activities are and that we must continue to invest time and energy in these activities so we can accomplish our goals.
For all, and especially those most affected by this event, please take time to reflect, to mourn, and to recover. Please support your colleagues and help each other to get through this tragedy. CEE and UW support services are available to help:
