ChemE Car

Electrical

The Electrical Team holds the responsibility of managing the interconnections of the car, and coordinating the distance the car travels by means of electrical signals. The distance the car will travel is indirectly measured by the rotation an axle on the back of the car. The rotations generate a small electrical signal which is coordinated with the control reaction team to allow for our car to travel very precise distances. Operation of traveling precise distances is just part of what our team works on. In addition, the integration of the key components of the car, such as the fuel cell and control reaction, is a key responsibility for assuring ideal running conditions. Cooperation with the other teams is vital for the performance and control of our car. Using the information and data gathered from all team’s research, it is our duty to ensure absolute cooperation between components. Most of which will be regulated by instructions programmed into an Arduino to perform autonomous control once the car is released down the track.
