Dr. Mack Holmberg

Dr. Mack Holmberg (left) is a general internist and primary care physician at the University of Washington. He grew up in Eagle River, Alaska, and studied cello performance and pedagogy at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He attended the University of Washington School of Medicine for medical school, residency, and his chief year. He is a proud Alaska WWAMI graduate.

Dr. Holmberg’s professional interests include LGBTQ medicine and sexual health, kidney disease, clinical reasoning, safety and authenticity in the learning environment, and complex interpersonal communication. He has a deep reverence for the learner’s journey. He lives with his partner, John, and their two *dramatic* cats (he’s also a dog person). He loves attending symphony and chamber music concerts, laughing loudly at comedy shows, and eating chicken wings.
