Dr. Anne Lee

Dr. Catherine (“Anne”) Lee is a self-described reluctant nomad. She spent her early years in California, Indiana, and Texas, attending nine different schools before college. She attended the University of California at Berkeley and the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Lee completed her internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland, affiliated with Case Western Reserve University. Her interest in whole-person care later led her to pursue a fellowship in integrative medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Lee joined the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) in Spokane in 2017. She is passionate about teaching medical students the nuances of the physical exam and helping them sharpen their clinical reasoning skills. She also finds deep fulfillment in mentoring students throughout their medical journeys.
Spokane has been home since 2002—the longest she’s ever lived in one place. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, and skiing with her husband and two sons. Her personal hobbies include tackling the New York Times crosswords and Spelling Bee, listening to podcasts, crafting, and yoga.
