Marina Epstein, PhD is the Principal Investigator on this study. She completed her doctoral degree and postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan, and has been working at the University of Washington since 2010. Dr. Epstein is a developmental psychologist and prevention scientist who is interested in reducing the risk of child substance use by improving parenting interventions that could reach all families.
Martie Skinner, PhD is the data analyst and research methods advisor on this project. She has over 30 years of experience as a statistician and research methodologist and has been working in the Social Development Research Group at the University of Washington for the last 16 years. Her primary area of interest is in positive youth development in adolescence and young adulthood and interventions that promote development and prevent negative outcomes for young people.
Madeline Furlong, BA is the Program Coordinator on this study. Ms. Furlong has more than four years of experience working with research studies, including interviews with participants, handling recruitment and payment, and data analysis.
