Interdisciplinary Individual PhD Research Talks & Lunch May 4th, 2022
The Interdisciplinary Individual PhD Program hosted a Research Symposium May 4, 2022. Returning to its on-campus format for the first time since 2019, this year the Symposium included in-person and online presentations, allowing for robust and dynamic exchanges among students and faculty. Presentations by seven of our current students highlighted the range of intellectual inquiry supported by the interdisciplinary advisory committees that students form in the Individual PhD program. While the supervised research programs pursued by our students are each distinct, our gatherings invariably surface unexpected intellectual connections, leading to productive exchanges of ideas and resources. Professor Mark Zachry, Individual PhD Program Director, provided attendees with updates about the program, including the admission of two new students who will begin in Autumn 2022. The accompanying photos capture the convivial energy of the event!
