Security

The Department of Medicine IT places a strong importance on security and follows guidance in these matters from our Department and School leadership, UW Medicine IT Security, and the UW Office of the Chief Information Security Officer.

IT security threats continue to become more dangerous to educational, healthcare, research, and government organizations. The Department of Medicine has a strong presence within all of these sectors so it is important that all members of the Department of Medicine participate in the effort to secure the computing systems.

This section serves to support the efforts of the Department of Medicine by providing Data Stewardship Training and awareness materials on a variety of topics.
