Welcome to the UW Libraries Digital Storytelling Workshop. This is an intensive multi-week workshop that will guide you through the development of your own digital story: how you came to your research, what motivated you to become a researcher, and where your research is taking you.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- develop a narrative script that reflects your experiences as a researcher
- build a community with like-minded learners
- design and create a short digital story using basic skills in a video editing platform
Our cohort is a safe space for open discussions. We embrace and support diversity and inclusiveness within this course and at the UW Libraries. We hope to foster unique representations of ideas and experiences. This online workshop and the synchronous meeting sessions will remain welcoming and supportive to allow each of you to thrive creatively as a researcher.
You will be introduced to concepts, practices, and tools that are new and unfamiliar. Thorough reading of the workshop materials will aid in quick acclimation to these materials and our online workshop. However, UW Libraries staff are here to provide you with feedback during our live online meeting sessions and in our main communication channels.
