FAQ

Will I receive a certificate for completing this workshop?

Unfortunately, this workshop does not provide certification for any of the tools or methods used during the learning experience. However, participants gain exposure to new ideas and frameworks while building practical skills in audio editing, compositing, and digital scholarship.

How long will it take to complete this project?

We are not seeking perfection with your final deliverables. You can realistically expect to spend upwards of 10-20 hours of work.

Do I need to know how to use any software before applying?

No. You will have access to demonstrations and tutorials in our chosen development platform. The Coaching Team will also be available to answer your questions through Discord, office hours, or email.

Do I get to keep my work at the end of this workshop?

Anything you edit on your local device is yours to keep. If you are saving materials in an online platform, ask the Coaching Team to clarify how material will be saved.

What if I need to drop out during the workshop?

If you are chosen to participate in this workshop and you have an extended planned absence or must otherwise drop out of the program, contact us immediately.

What happens when the workshop concludes?

Before the workshop concludes, we may request that you complete a Personal Release Form that will allow us to feature your work on this website or for other UW Libraries purposes. You do not need to sign the form to participate in the workshop, but we would appreciate the ability to highlight your work.
