Dr. Brandon Berry is a postdoctoral researcher focused on how mitochondria, the powerhouses of cells, contribute to and modulate functional decline that occurs during aging. He uses novel optogenetic tools to precisely control mitochondria using light to better understand the fundamentals of metabolism and healthy aging. Brandon is excited about how a bioenergetics approach to aging research may reveal new ways to understand and impact health.
