The Center for Business Analytics (CBA) at the UW Tacoma Milgard School of Business hosted the 4th Annual MSBA Applied Project Showcase at the end of this academic year on June 4, 2021. The work of 73 Master of Science of Business Analytics (MSBA) students was showcased through live virtual presentations and poster-style presentations that were open to public viewing via the Zoom platform.
This year (During AY 20-21), two cohorts of 73 MSBA student consultants worked on 14 projects with 14 different organizations including Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Greentrike, City of Lynnwood, City of Tacoma, WA State DNR, Sound Credit Union, Metropolitan Appliance, City of Tacoma Fire Dept., South Tacoma Auto, Schnitzer Steel, UW Tacoma, Communities in Schools of Tacoma, City of Puyallup, and Korean Women’s Association.

This year, a record number of nearly 500 participants attended virtually. Students and attendees were asked to vote for their favorite student MSBA projects and the winners are:
#1 Place – City of Lynnwood – Gauri Patil, Monib Sabet, Trishali Ranjan and Kevin McInerny
#2 Place – Virginia Mason Franciscan Health – James Applewhite, Shruti Saxena, Sharo Chacko, Hari Aravind, Spoorthy Thatipelly and David Bui
#3 Place – UW Tacoma – Ray Lee, Laura Truong, Breanna Harris, Prathibha Muralidhar and Kohle Ferenchak
#4 Place – Metropolitan Appliance – Subha Varadarajan, Yujin Lee, Jing Zhang and Andrew Phillips
