We believe we can better support your research by giving you consistent members of OAW with which to work. Every
conducting animal research is assigned to a team within OAW. There are currently three teams – the blue team, green team, and purple team. Each team consists of two scientific liaisons, one of which is assigned as your primary contact. Your
can help you with the following items:
- Training in HoverBoard, our electronic IACUC protocol management system.
- Pre-review of IACUC protocols and follow-on submissions.
- Shepherding protocol items through the IACUC review process.
- Grant/protocol congruence review for all grants and contracts that involve animal use.
- Periodic meetings to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Updating you about relevant changes to regulatory requirements and IACUC policies.
- General point of contact for all things animal related. Your liaison may not know everything, but they can point you in the right direction!
PIs and their staff are encouraged to contact their Scientific Liaison with any questions or problems related to animal use.
