The Animals Use Laws and Regulations Course and Exam has been updated. We have streamlined the course and put it into new technology.

ABSL-2 Dirty Cages Not Being Handed Off Safety

ABSL-2 policies and procedures are in place to not only protect researchers in direct contact with animals, but other staff that handle materials in the workflow.

DCM washroom staff are frequently seeing improperly bagged ABSL-2 cages and broken-down cage accessories. This can potentially expose them to ABSL-2 waste even though they are wearing Personal Protective Equipment.

The Box Project evolved from the need for an outlet for

Laboratory Animal Professionals (LAPs) to express themselves anonymously if they wished when they may not feel comfortable reaching out directly to another person.
