Got Lidar? WE DO!!!

Summer update: PFC/RSGAL collection of terrestrial lidar scanners (TLS) is growing, we own three of these and one (SICK lidar) belongs to Dr.Akira Kato(PFC/RSGAL alumni) who is on a year long sabbatical with us from Chiba University.

From left to right, Jonathan Batchelor, the lidar wizard and PhD student (yes he can operate all of these), microTLS aka ‘babyLidar’ (Jonathan actually build 4 of these), SICKlidar (belongs to Dr. Kato), PFC/RSGAL V-lidar (developed in part by Dr.Guang Zheng now at Nanjing University), our trusted Leica ScanStation2 that started it all a decade ago and got us 15 publications and collected all the data for Dr.Zheng PhD when he was my student. And finally, Megan O’Shea, she runs the show here, as most of you might already know! Dr.Meghan Halabisky is hiding in the background plugging away on our wetland projects. Lab is a bit messy as Jonathan and Megan are packing up for their field work in Alaska (they leave on Sunday with two of these sensors); the work is a collaborative project with Hans-Erik Andersen.
