Wetlands in a NAIP-based 3D point cloud

Dr. Meghan Halabisky has been working in RSGAL for almost a decade monitoring wetlands, some of the new tools she utilizes are:

• NAIP-based 3D point clouds
• UAS-based point clouds

Below here is what the NAIP data looks like for one of the WA Douglas county test sites…this is not LiDAR but it’s pretty interesting. Thank you to Caleb Maki @ WA DNR for processing and providing the data for our research.
