Bio

Rubina is a PhD student in Civil Engineering at the University of Washington. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021 and her MS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the UW in 2024. Her current research interests lie at the intersection of transportation engineering and social sciences, and considering accessibility and behavioral choices while planning for a sustainable future. Within the Sustainable Transportation Lab, she has worked on understanding road users’ decisions after the implementation of complete streets improvements, understanding user choices among micromobility modes, and EV infrastructure reliability.
