Bio

Currently engaged as a Ph.D. student and Graduate Research Assistant at the Sustainable Transportation Lab, Zeyu has a mixed academic background of human geography, urban planning and urban data science. He earned his master’s degree at National University of Singapore, where his thesis focused on the use of time series street view imagery and deep learning for monitoring and assessing the built environment. His current research focuses on the effects of built environment elements on travel behaviors, leveraging open-sourced geospatial datasets and innovative computational methods. At the lab, he is working on localizing and advancing a large, high-performance transportation systems simulation model. Beyond the academic realm, he finds inspiration in road trips, hiking, and photography.
