Bio

Don MacKenzie is an Associate Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington and leads the Sustainable Transportation Lab. Professor MacKenzie holds a PhD in Engineering Systems and SM in Technology and Policy, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BASc in Chemical & Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He previously worked in fuel cell research at Ballard Power Systems, alternative fuels development at Syntec Biofuel, and as an analyst for the Union of Concerned Scientists in Washington DC. He is the Editor of Energy Findings and an editorial board member for Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment.
