The UW Center for Statistics in the Social Sciences (CSSS) recently interviewed Urban Design and Planning alumnus David Hsu (PhD, ’10) as part of their alumni spotlight series: Alumni Spotlight on David Hsu: Applying Statistics to Advance Policymaking
David Hsu, who completed a certificate from CSSS while working on his Ph.D. at UW, is currently an Associate Professor of Urban and Environmental Planning at MIT and is currently serving as a Strategic Planner at the U.S. Department of Energy. He completed his dissertation “An Evaluation of the Effects of a Pricing Policy on the Water Consumption of Heterogeneous Households in Seattle” under the supervision of former PhD program director Professor Paul Waddell.
