CELEBRATION OF LATINOS @ FOSTER
What is Celebrating of Latinos at Foster (CLF)?
CLF was founded in 2019 by our organization at the Foster School of Business. In 2018, we hosted an event to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and the ALPFA board realized that it was not inclusive towards all Latinx cultures. To become more inclusive, Celebrating Latinos at Foster was created to celebrate and embrace our cultures and successes. This celebration is filled with diverse range of foods and entertainment to engage with our peers. We also incorporate educational pieces such as poster boards, slides, and note cards with information about different Latinx countries in order to educate Foster students, staff, and faculty about the Latinx Community.
This event is normally hosted in Deloitte Commons and the Jiambalvo Hearth on the 2nd Floor of Paccar Hall in May.
COVID-19 Response
We appreciate your patience with us. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect our lives, we are finding numerous ways to adapt to the situation and still attempting to fulfill our goal of putting our Celebration of Latinos at Foster event together. While we had to cancel our in-person event we chose create a website with all the material we had planned on sharing, and make it as interactive as possible for everyone. We will continue to make updates as possible, and hope you visit us now and again to see what we have been up to.
Thank you!
We would like to thank Accenture, and Slalom for their generous support of our organization, our mission, and this website.
