We’re hiring! Student positions available + extended hours for Winter Quarter.

We’ve got two big reasons to be excited at the library.

First, we’re extending our hours starting Winter Quarter 2019 — so we get to spend more time with students! Second, we’re hiring for three student assistant positions — so we get to spend more time with students! (Time with students = happy library staff.) See below for details on both.

Extended hours

The library will have longer hours starting the first day of Winter Quarter, with extended hours Monday through Thursday and on Sundays. Our new opening times will be:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7 am – midnight
  • Friday: 7 am – 5 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm
  • Sunday: 9 am – 9 pm

Hiring student positions

To help meet our extended hours, the library is seeking three new Access Services Assistants.

These are 10 – 19 hour/week, student positions located on the Tacoma campus. Candidates who can work opening (7 am on weekdays) and/or closing (12 am or 9 pm) shifts are strongly desired. Applications are being accepted through December 9.
