Thousand Dollar Tips: Letter of Faculty Support

Your Library Research Award for Undergraduates application needs to include a letter of support from a faculty member, teaching or research assistant, or instructor–someone who knows about your research strategy and methods.

If you haven’t asked for this letter, ask now because they’ll need time to consider and respond to the short form we’ve created to gather their perspective. Send the form link to your instructor when you ask them to support your application. We ask their opinion on your use of research strategies and tools in your project, and to assess how it fits in your discipline. The form can be filled out by faculty, teaching or research assistants, and instructors.

Ask them today, check this off your to-do list, and carry on with finishing your project! Your application (including the faculty letter of support) is due Monday, May 6, 2019.
