The University of Washington Libraries offers the Digital Scholarship Summer Immersion program (DSSI) annually as a tri-campus opportunity to explore digital scholarship tools and methods for open scholarship and pedagogy. DSSI 2021 will run Tuesday, August 3 – Thursday, August 5, and will be a series of three discrete workshops that focus on one of the UW Libraries’ open hosting platforms. Please feel free to sign up for one workshop, or all three!

Be sure to check out the Libraries’ recent blog post, Beyond the Pilot: Digital Scholarship Open Hosting Platforms are Here to Stay, for examples of how some of your colleagues have used Omeka, SPLOTs, and Manifold over the past year.
During DSSI, the Libraries’ Digital Scholarship Team will also be available for consultations to think through your interests and plans one-on-one. We can consult with you about planning digital scholarship projects, choosing and using open platforms and tools, and integrating open pedagogy into your classes. Please contact the UW Tacoma Data and Digital Scholarship Librarian, Erika Bailey.
We look forward to seeing you at DSSI 2021!
