Attention to all fellow readers – bookworms and book dragons alike! Did you know you have access to OverDrive through UW Library? OverDrive is an online platform for ebooks and audiobooks of popular fiction and nonfiction titles. Currently, the UW collection holds over 3000 titles and is constantly growing. UW Tacoma librarians recently added 34 exciting new titles to the collection that “reflect and center the identities, communities, and lived experiences of our students.” It is our hope that these titles represent and uplift our Asian American, Latin American, African American, Native American, Pacific Northwest, and LGBTQIA student communities. Examples of the latest additions include Yellowface by R.F. Kuang, A Lady for a Duke by Alexis Hall, Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner, Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall, and many many more!
There are several ways for you to access and take advantage of the UW OverDrive collection. You can access directly at https://uwashington.overdrive.com/ or find titles through the UW Libraries catalog. Simply filter by ebooks and audiobooks in your search. Additionally, you can download the Libby App and read or listen to books from the collection on the go. In the app, you will add the University of Washington as a library and then log in using your NetID. You can check out and put on hold up to three titles at a time.
