Taiwan Summer Internship Program

This summer, National Chung Hsing University will offer a 2-week research training program for engineering students to learn about the innovative engineering culture of Taiwan. Students will gain laboratory research experience, visit with industry professionals, and take part in technical seminars. Field trips and workshops will teach students about Taiwanese culture and traditions.

  • Location: Taichung, Taiwan
  • Dates: July 27th – August 10th, 2016
  • Language of Instruction: English. Experience with Mandarin Chinese is not necessary to participate.
  • Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in the College of Engineering at the University of Washington.
  • Credits: Check with your academic advisor to know if you will be able to receive departmental credit for this program.
  • Program Expenses: There are no charges to students for tuition, accommodations, or food for the program. All of program costs are covered by National Chung Hsing University. Students are responsible for additional expenses, including airfare, passport/visa costs, meals not covered by program fee, international health insurance, local transportation fees, and personal expenses.
  • Application: To apply, complete the program application form along with a photocopy of your passport identification page and 3”x4” photograph.
  • Deadline: Applications must be received by 8:00am Pacific Time on Monday, April 11. Late submissions will not be considered. Application materials can be submitted by email to enghmw@uw.edu.
