Grand Challenges Impact Lab: Study in India

Interested in a study abroad program that offers hands-on, project-based learning about Grand Challenges and social innovation that will also count as your capstone and technical elective classes.  Grand Challenges Impact Lab (GCIL), a UW study abroad program in Bangalore, India, is recruiting junior and senior undergraduates as well as graduate students for their Winter 2021 program!

Grand Challenges (GCs) are the big problems facing humanity – things like food security, clean water, climate change, low-income housing, education in disadvantaged communities, and access to health care. GCIL empowers students to address GCs. Through GCIL, interdisciplinary teams of 4 students are placed in a local organization with experience with a GC and are challenged to propose, test, and prototype solutions using tools of entrepreneurship and social innovation.
