CEE Ugrad Weekly: CEE Networking Event, Mental Health Resources, SPR21 Registration, Capstone Preview

CEE Student Networking Event

CEE is facilitating a networking opportunity next week for students to get to know each other better (learn who’s in your concentration, form study groups, etc.).

The event is based around each student providing an introduction video using the Flipgrid interface.

Mental Health Resources Reminder

Now is a stressful time for many and UW has a plethora of resources for you to take advantage of. If you have questions about any of them, please let us know and we can answer questions/help get you connected.

  • UW Counseling Center has tips with how to deal with stress related to the COVID-19 outbreak and is offering their services remotely. The Counseling Center is a free, confidential resource for students and offers professional services for stress management, coping strategies, and ways to manage conditions like anxiety and depression. You can make an appointment by calling 206-543-1240.
  • Hall Health Mental Health offers similar services as well as medication evaluation and management, group therapy, and other forms of support. Hall Health isn’t a free resource, but they do accept most kinds of insurance. You can make an appointment by calling 206-543-5030.
  • Husky Health and Well-Being offers a wide range of health and wellness services, from exceptional medical care and counseling services to recreation classes, safety resources, peer advocates, trainings and more. Their goal is to support health, safety, and well-being so you can make the most of your UW experience.
  • CareLink is a free, confidential helpline for UW employees (mainly faculty and staff) that is staffed by licensed professionals who can talk with you about how to navigate difficult life situations and help with stress management. They can also refer callers to one of their affiliated therapists for in-person counseling sessions. You can reach a representative 24/7 by calling 866-598-3978.

Registration Reminder

Registration for SPR21 opened last week. We sent out a SPR21 registration email as well as a SPR21 update so please take a look if you have yet to do so.
