APWA @ UW is hosting a panel night this Wednesday, May 26th, at 5:00 pm about Transit Planning in Seattle.  Joining us will be Kathy Leotta (Sound Transit), Lori Burchett (King County Metro), and Brian Macik (King County Metro).

This APWA event will feature King County Metro Transit (KC Metro) and Sound Transit (ST), discussing regional planning and application. The planning discussion will focus on Sound Transit’s responsibilities and how they interact with other transit agencies. At the same time, Metro will discuss their long-term vision for the area and how the new Light rail will work with the current system to provide a better experience for riders. Both organizations will then provide a real-world example to help illustrate how different agencies’ planning comes together to provide the system users with the end product they use.
