The UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design has extended their summer program application to May 30^th.

We received many inquiries from students who missed the deadline to apply for our environmental design summer programs, due to midterms, finals or other life events. Therefore, we have extended the deadline to apply to May 30 – for domestic students only. We recommend applying as soon as possible, as we cannot guarantee consideration after the programs have filled up.

UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design is offering the following immersive summer programs: 

• Design & Innovation for Sustainable Cities:
  • Full-time program from July 5 to August 5
  • For current (& incoming) college students of all backgrounds. No design experience is necessary.

• Summer [IN]stitutes:
  • Four full-time cohorts from July 5 to August 12
  • [IN]ARCH (architecture), [IN]CITY (city planning & urban design), [IN]LAND (landscape architecture) – intensive, introductory studios for college graduates or college seniors of all backgrounds, no design experience necessary.
  • [IN]ARCH ADV – intermediate architectural studio for current architecture majors or architecture graduates, created to push the boundaries of architectural thinking and design.
