Global Renewables Infrastructure Development

Hello,

Global Renewables Infrastructure Development (GRID) at UW is recruiting! GRID is a student-led organization focused on getting students involved with solar technology and helping apply it to off-grid communities. We’re an interdisciplinary mix of graduate and undergraduate students with backgrounds in engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, and more.

In the past, GRID has installed solar kits in post-Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico and non-electrified regions of Guatemala. Current projects include deploying a solar panel test system and collaborating with Kilowatts for Humanity to assist their Zambia project.

Joining our team is a great opportunity to learn more about applications of renewable energy, the socioeconomic impact of technology integration, or gain some experience with microgrids and data acquisition/analysis. Our first meeting will be Thursday, October 12th from 4-5pm in MolES 115. Hope to see you there!
