CEE Career Fair Host (for Freshmen Engineering Students)

This is something new we would like to try this year in an effort to recruit more Freshmen to our department.  We will host a table (titled: 1st year Engineering Undergrad – Career Fair Help) where 1st year engineering students (who have not yet picked their major) can come and get one of our own students to take them around to a company or booth of their choice and introduce them to one of the recruiters there. The hope is that the 1st year student will get to talk to someone in the civil/environmental engineering industry and get a feel for what they do it and why they love it.  But, we need YOU to be at the table, greet the students as they come in, and escort them to a company of interest. You will also give them a note card that they will fill out with basic information about the person they met and, if they return it to the table, they get a $5 Starbucks gift card.  I am looking for about 3-4 volunteers for each of two shifts.

WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO DO

WE NEED YOU

But, we need YOU to be at the table, greet the students as they come in, and escort them to a company of interest. You will also give them a note card that they will fill out with basic information about the person they met and, if they return it to the table, they get a $5 Starbucks gift card.

I am looking for about 3-4 volunteers for each of two shifts. If you already have a job, this is a great way to give back to CEE and pay it forward at the career fair!

YOUR THANK-YOU REWARD

I (Steve Muench) will give you a $20 Starbucks gift card for each shift you complete.
