Undergraduate RA: Pacific Northwest tidal data analysis: We are seeking an enthusiastic undergraduate research assistant to join a project focused on understanding changes to flood hazards in coastal Washington. The research assistant will be responsible for digitizing and analyzing historical tidal records and charts. The project will help to address the question: have tides and flooding in coastal Washington inlets changed in the last 150 years? This position will require comfort programming in either Python or MATLAB. The research assistant will work closely with postdoctoral researchers and graduate students, as well as Professors Alex Horner-Devine and Christie Hegermiller.This is an hourly position and we anticipate 5-10 hours of work per week. Start date is flexible, but we anticipate starting as soon as possible.
