Volunteers Needed – Help Tabling at OMAD Majors Fair (Wed, Nov 13, 4-6pm)

Hello CEE Majors,

I am looking for a few enthusiastic student volunteers to help me (Tomorrow, Wed, 11/13 from 4-6pm) at the 4th Annual Majors Fair, hosted by the Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity Academic Counseling Services and the Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center.

I’ve attended this event each of the last 3 years and it is always fun to talk with prospective students about what we do in CEE!

Date: Wednesday, November 13, 2024
Location: Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center (ECC)
Event Time: 4:00PM- 6:00PM
Departmental Advisers/Reps arrive to ECC at 3:45PM.
Each department will be assigned a table.
Student Attendance: We expect 200+ students to attend. Students in EOP Scholars Academy, TRIO SSS, CAMP, Sisterhood Initiative and Brotherhood Initiative will be attending, and we have begun advertising the event to all of our pre-major EOP students. Along with the advertisement, we have sent an RSVP link and can monitor sign-up.
Students will have “passports” that they will ask departmental advisers to stamp to show that they were actively engaged during this event. We will provide stamps for advisers. This event’s purpose is to encourage students to explore different areas of study and give them an opportunity to interact with staff from majors they are interested in.
