Dr. Abir “Abby” Hussein

Dr. Abir “Abby” Hussein is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the department of Allergy & Infectious Disease who completed her fellowship training and MPH in Epidemiology at the University of Washington. She received her M.D. from the University of Miami in Florida and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado. She was originally born in Khartoum, Sudan but moved to the states at a young age and has moved around since. In her spare time, she likes to ballroom dance, do arts & crafts, and explore the food scene. She is passionate about clinical infectious disease work and medical education and mentorship as well as improving diversity, equity, and inclusion both in the hospital and in academia.
