Ana Valencia, Ph.D. will be discussing recent work on high fat and high sugar diets in the context of aging this November 17th at the Future of Aging seminar organized by the University of Washington Retirement Association in partnership with the University of Washington Alumni Association. The title of her talk is “Nutrition as we age: Should we keep fearing fat and sugar?”. As we continue to learn about the changes in physiology that occur with natural aging, we need to acknowledge that the impact of diet stress may also change as we get older. Ana’s talk is inspired from her recent paper : Are fat and sugar just as detrimental in old age?
