Alicia Hendrix has been awarded a Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). Alicia will work jointly with the Gulf Research Program’s Gulf Health and Resilience Board (GHRB) and their Gulf Environmental Protection and Stewardship Board (GEPS). She will explore the dynamic role that scientists play in advising the nation’s decision making and strengthening the scientific basis for action. The program prepares fellows to work in science policy at the federal, state, or local levels.
