APPLICATION TIMELINE
The deadline to apply for a 2024-2025 position was 12:00 PM PST on Wednesday, January 3. No more applications will be accepted at this time. All questions about the application process should be directed to our Student Leader Selection Committee (reslifesl@uw.edu).
STUDENT LEADER POSITIONS
Resident Adviser (RA)
RAs serve an important role in providing welcoming, inclusive, safe, and fun residential communities. RAs interact regularly with residents through one-on-one conversations and floor programs. RAs also contribute to safety by serving on-call and enforcing residential policies.
Residence Education Programmer (REP)
REPs plan educational initiatives in each of our residential communities. REP focuses on supporting residents’ academic success, wellness, and awareness of diversity and social justice through large scale programming initiatives.
Residential Programming Board (RPB)
RPB engages residents in an inclusive community through large-scale, diverse, social programming. Each quarter, we host 26 free or low-cost events including movie screenings nearly every weekend.
SELECTION PROCESS OVERVIEW
Applicants will be notified in early February if they have been selected to move on to the next round of the selection process.
The second part of the selection process for RA candidates selected to move on is the live interview. Interviews will occur the week of February 26th.
REP/RPB candidates will complete a program presentation instead of an interview the week of February 19.
If under consideration for multiple roles, you will be asked to complete an interview and a presentation.
Following interviews/presentations candidates will receive an update on if they have or have not received a position offer by end of Winter quarter. Those who are selected to Alternate positions, similar to a waitlist, will also be informed at this time.
Candidates who receive and accept a Student Leader position or Alternate offer will be required to complete the Student Leader Class in Spring Quarter. This class is a requirement of the role and offers will be rescinded if student’s are unable to attend. Please see the Spring 2024 Class Time options below and keep them in mind when planning your Spring schedule:

- Mon/Wed | 2:30 PM – 3:50 PM

COMMUNICATION
Candidates will receive emails to their UW email throughout the process updating them on the status of their candidacy. Email is the primary method of communication during this process. Emails will come from reslifesl@uw.edu, so make sure these emails are not set to go to spam.
