Application

We will be using ASHP’s Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) for all applicants. You can find out more about PhORCAS at www.ashp.org/phorcas.

Our deadline for applications is January 2nd, 2024 for all programs.

The residency committee reviews your letter of intent, curriculum vitae (CV), transcripts, and three letters of reference.

Please upload your letter of intent through the PhORCAS system. Your letter of intent should:

  • State your career goals, why you are considering our program, interests, and what skills/characteristics you would bring to UW Medicine.
  • Be specific as to why you feel UW Medicine would be a good fit with your career goals and interests.
  • Be no longer than one page.

References should use the standard form in PhORCAS. We do not require a separate free form letter.  However, it is important that your letter writers comment on as many of the assessment areas as they are able to.

Please note: University of Washington is NOT able to sponsor visas for pharmacy residents (PGY1 or PGY2).
