Salary and Benefits

Annual Resident Stipend (2024 to 2025)

  • PGY1 residents: $76,032
  • PGY2 residents: $78,660

Leave

  • Vacation leave: 15 days
  • Sick leave: 7 days
  • Project: 20 days, including December as project month for applicable programs
  • Professional leave
    • Residents are expected to attend the following conferences, unless otherwise specified:
      • ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting
      • Northwestern States Residency Conference (NWSRC)
    • Residents may take an additional 5 days of leave as needed.
    • Each resident may receive a stipend annually for travel for required professional meetings in alignment with the university regulations for travel expense reimbursement. 

Holidays

  • Residents are scheduled to work 4 holidays per year as part of the integrated staffing commitment.
  • Recognized University holidays are as follows:
    • New Years’ Day
    • Martin Luther King Jr. Day
    • Presidents Day
    • Memorial Day
    • Juneteenth
    • Independence Day (Fourth of July)
    • Labor Day
    • Veterans Day
    • Thanksgiving Day
    • Native American Heritage Day (Day after Thanksgiving)
    • Christmas Day
