Lily Beck – Winter 2024

Pediocactus nigrispinus (Basalt cactus) is a cactus native to Washington, currently threatened by habitat loss and over-collection. This project synthesizes information and propagation protocol for future nursery use, as well as germinating several seeds to assist in the goal of determining if seed sowing could be a viable option for restoration.
