Bio
Parastoo earned her Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering in 2022. Her research focused on users’ behavior toward new mobility services and automated vehicles and on understanding psychometric measures of individuals’ preferences and choices. She was the recipient of the Puget Sound chapter WTS Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship in 2020 and the University Transportation Centers Region 10 Student of the Year Award in 2018. Following graduation, she began working as a research scientist at Joby Aviation, an electric aviation startup.
