Library and TLC experts await student citation questions during Sources + Citations event during the last week of instruction

13 questions about citations
3 pounds of butter cookies
5 large pots of coffee
Countless refills of the hot water kettle

The UW Tacoma Library and the UW Tacoma Teaching & Learning Center (TLC), together with funding from the Garrol L. Floe Endowed Fund, delighted noon-hour patrons with cookies and hot beverages in the foyer of the Snoqualmie library building last week. It was also an opportunity for students to get help finishing up their assignments in the last week of instruction.

Questions included, “How do I write Chicago ‘author-date’ style?” and “What is APA, exactly?” Library reference specialists and writing experts from TLC looked up answers in books and online, offering tips on how best to credit sources on, say, a research paper or poster presentation.

If you missed out–don’t worry! We’re still here to help! The Research Help desk is open this week and through interim, and we are eager to talk about your sources and citations!
