Overheard at the Library

Our research and reference librarian left this note for the other librarians recently:

A sampling of questions from my desk shift yesterday:

  • resources for a Marxist analysis of the film Us;
  • resources for a paper about sex offenders who are homeless and the barriers they face with residential limitation laws;
  • an ethnography of gender and fitness;
  • peer-reviewed articles about spirituality/religion and happiness/well being; and
  • and primary and secondary sources about the Trail of Tears.

Whew!

*Best of all* was the student who passed by and told his friend (he of the Marxist analysis) that he was sitting at the “right” place if he wanted to get a better grade on his paper. The passing student said he can’t believe his fellow students don’t take advantage of the help we offer because he “knows” he was more successful with his assignments because he always used Research Help!

Yeah!

We live for these kinds of days. Please don’t hesitate to stop by with your questions!
