The construction of the Learning Commons is kicking off in February. Every other week, we’re going to post here recent photos of what’s happening in the Tioga Library Building and the Snoqualmie Building throughout the project.

April 1st, 2021

Adding a new silent work space in the Tioga Library Building. This week on the 4th floor of the Tioga Library Building crews are adding new walls to create a silent study space. On the other side of the building, furniture is being stored until it is ready to be deployed in new areas.

March 18th, 2021

Construction continues in the Tioga Library Building. Construction crews took down old walls last week, this week they began fabricating the new ones in the Tioga Library Building.

March 4th, 2021

Construction underway in the Tioga Library Building. Contractors have begun working in the Tioga Library Building, temporary barriers separate construction zones and library employee workspace to allow for continuity of services available to patrons.

Tioga Library Building 3rd floor atrium closed for construction. Scaffolding has been installed temporarily.

February 18th, 2021

Clearing out the Tioga Library Building. Construction begins in the Tioga Library Building this week and the library staff have been hard at work clearing book shelving, service desks, and office spaces.

February 4, 2021

Activating the fourth floor of the Tioga Library Building. We’re excited to be preparing this long-vacant space for students and silent study.
