Publish and Flourish is an annual event that recognizes the accomplishments of our faculty and staff who have published a book within the past year. In connection with the Office of Research, the UW Tacoma Library celebrates the achievements of our campus community. “The poet, Jamal Gabobe has a Ph.D in Comparative Literature from the University of Washington. He has published a book of poems ‘Love and Memory’ and an essay in the anthology ‘An Ear to the Ground: Presenting Writers from 2 Coasts.’ He was part of the Jackstraw Writers Program and has written on modern Egyptian literature and the Canadian author Margaret Laurence. He is currently an instructor/consultant at the University of Washington’s Center for Teaching and Learning.” — Ponte Invisibile (Redsea Cultural Foundation)
