Save the Date!

Flyer for a book club conversation with Dashka Slater. Information on flyer is also in the blog post.

The UW Tacoma Library and the Center for Equity and Inclusion are delighted to announce that we are bringing another Real Lit[erature] Author Talk to our campus! Last quarter we skyped with Angie Thomas. This quarter, all are welcome for a thirty minute Q&A conversation with Dashka Slater, author of The 57 Bus. The book — based on a true story — has won several awards already, including the Stonewall Book Award!

Date: Wednesday, 3/13/19

Time: 12:30-1:00

Location: SNO 136

Please join us!  As we’ve discussed the book this quarter, our conversations have covered hate crime, gender identity, incarceration, and restorative justice, to name a few. The conversation promises to be meaningful and relevant as we grapple with issues surrounding social justice.
