Hyperloop is a high-speed transportation concept put forward by entrepreneur Elon Musk, currently the CEO of Tesla Motors and SpaceX. Musk’s SpaceX is currently holding a competition for teams to independently design and build “pods” which would be used within the Hyperloop system. The competition consists of a Design Competition which was in January 2016, and a Build Competition this summer.
After being selected out of more than 1000 applicants to attend the Design Competition, the UW Hyperloop Team is 1 of 30 teams advancing to the Build Competition this summer.
In preparation for this, they are seeking highly-motivated individuals studying Civil/Environmental Engineering that want to learn more about the civil and environmental implications of the Hyperloop.
You can learn more about our UW Hyperloop team at http://hyperloop.io/ or more about the Hyperloop concept itself at http://www.spacex.com/hyperloop.
