The Department of Navy, Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC), Bangor, WA has 2 Intern positions (GS-0899): 1 Industrial Engineer and 1 Civil Engineer. These positions are part of the Pathways program which enables the student to work during the summer, and a student that meets all the requirements outlined in the USAJOBS announcement may be converted to competitive service position after graduation. Both positions will be filled from the same USAJOBS Announcement open until January 21st, 2016.

Duties: As an intern you will perform standardized work assignments in providing sub-professional engineering assistance to professional personnel. Application of limited background and/or practical knowledge of engineering methods and techniques are required. Duties primarily focus on providing work and training experience to prepare the student intern form a more advanced professional engineering position through a variety of tasks that utilize established practical processes, methods, and procedures. The program is an excellent opportunity for students to get an interesting, real-world experience while contributing to the defense of our nation.
