This April, the UW Tacoma Library will host three Introduction to Zotero Workshops to help those who wish to streamline their citation process. Workshops will be held on Monday, April 15; Wednesday, April 24 & Tuesday, April 30, during Husky hour (12:30-1:30) in Tioga Library Building (TLB) Room 115. No advanced registration is required. Everyone is welcome to attend and encouraged to bring their own laptops if possible.

What is Zotero?

Billed as an “open-source reference management software,” Zotero helps you to quickly and easily manage citations, saving time, energy and the need to start from scratch when working on a research paper or other document. With Zotero, you can:

  • Save sources to specific folders via an extension on your browser
  • Access those sources in one location
  • Efficiently create a bibliography from selected sources
  • Insert an in-text citation in seconds
  • & so much more!

Why attend a workshop?

In addition to learning alongside your peers, you’ll have the chance to:
  • Download and install Zotero
  • Practice saving sources, creating a bibliography and inserting in-text citations
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may crop up
  • Chat with a Reference Specialist about all things library, Zotero-related or otherwise!
  • Set yourself up for future success

We look forward to seeing you there!
